Teaching & learning approach

Freight Academy’s mission is to prepare students to be educated and enlighten citizens to lead productive and meaningful lives. This is achieved through exemplary teaching, learning and assessment methods practiced by expert trainers.

The teaching and learning methods include

lectureLectures
Face to face lectures are done using the latest teaching learning equipements, like projectors, video. Most courses will combine lectures, group discussions and lab sessions (for relevant subjects). Assessments are given by students to measure the critical thinking, cultural knowledge, intellectual, and personal development. Diverse assessment strategies are used at Freight Academy to assess students.

interactive
Interactive workshops
based on types of courses, Freight Academy arrange for interactive workshops to create a vivid environment for the students. The students develop their skills and knowledge by observing an expert performing his tasks whilst explaining the daily core duties. The students spend one full day with the experts, through whom they acquire skills and they are confident that course will help them in their future career.

practicalPractical Sessions our IT Room is well equipped with computers and printers. Practical classes are done as per the needs of the students and as per the course requirements. The practical sessions enhance their knowledge and skills. Obviously they become full fledged personnel at the very start of their career. The worries of the employers are lessened.

groupGroup Discussions most courses will combine lectures, group discussions and lab sessions (for relevant subjects). Assessments are given by students to measure the critical thinking, cultural knowledge, intellectual, and personal development. Diverse assessment strategies are used at Freight Academy to assess students.

inhouseIn-house Training the transition to in-house training has become a much more obvious choice with limited time, competition and challenge to survive.
It is cost effective for the employer because the person continues to work whilst learning. Thus, training time is reduced when compared to traditional off site learning. Freight Academy provides in-house training not only locally but internationally.

These methods above are aimed at ensuring that the students develop a full range of knowledge, communication and practical skills for efficiency in their increasingly challenging job.
