Brambhanand Jeerakun - RECTOR
Mr.Brambhanand Jeerakun, Rector of Freight Academy, comes from the Education Sector.
He joined the Government Services as Primary School Teacher in 1969 and ended as Principal School Inspector in 2006.
Besides implementation of policy decisions, he also had the responsibility to ensure pedagogical, infrastructural and managerial improvements. He is the beholder of Advanced Certificate in Education and Diploma in Educational Supervision and Inspection from MIE and Diploma in Social work from the University of Mauritius.
He joined Freight Academy to impart the rich experience he has had in the Education Sector and help raise the Status of the workforce in the Trade Business, Civil Aviation and Travel Industry.

	Ziyaad Ally - Marketing and Training Coordinator &Trainer F.O.C : Front Office Operation , Customer Care , Hotel Industry , Airline Reservation and E-Ticketing.
	Mr Ziyaad joined Freight Academy in July 2010. A young talented and skillful person , he has gained a wide range of experience in the Airline and Hotel Industry. He was head Receptionist , PR Officer, Reservation clerk and Night Manager at Casuarina Resort & Spa. At Air Mauritius Ltd, he was administrative Assistant in the Aircraft and Avionics Department ; Passenger Customer Service Agent in the ground floor operation. He was Assistant Personal Officer of the director of Paradis Voyages ltee ; Reservation & Finance Officer at Maeva ( Nautix Co. Ltd ) and Assistant Supervisor of Travel Consultant at Flyaway Travel Services dealing with Inbound and Outbound Clients. 	Miss Ambareen Nuckchady – Administrative Officer. Field of Competency : Customs Clearance, administrative and secretarial skills.
	Miss Ambareen Nuckchady, a young and dynamic person joined Freight Academy in April 2009 as Trainee Administrative clerk. She was then appointed Personal Assistant. She holds an HSC and was successfully completed the following courses: Import & Export Procedures & Trade Finance Certificate in Customs Clearance She has also attended a two days workshop and was awarded a certificate in Advanced Company Secretarial Practices for Africa from cdm Training –Johannesbourg.

Mr Anwall Maudarbox
Field of Competency: Logistics Management & International Trade Practices

Mr. Maudarbox is the Marketing Manager at the Silver line services Ltd- a renowned logistics enterprise . He joined he Logistics Sector in 1991. He has had a long experience career in the sector having worked at Rogers groups (PATS) as Sea Freight and Airfreight warehouse officer respectively at Trans World Cargo Ltd, as Sea Freight Officer, at Naku Freight (Mtius) Ltd, as Supervisor Sales Dept and at Maersk as Sea Freight Executive.

In 2010, Mr. Maudarbox, was entrusted the responsibility to run courses in Shipping and Freight Forwarding on behalf of Freight Academy at the following places: Nairobi and Mombassa – Kenya, Dar –Es- Salaam – Tanzania and Kempala – Uganda.

	Mr Afzal Delbar
	Field of Competency – Customs Clearance Practices
	Mr Afzal Delbar is the Managing Director of Silver Line Services Ltd (www.silverlineservices.com) which is an International Freight Forwarding Company. It has offices in 23 Countries that offer one stop-shop services in the Logistics Supply Chain. He is a licenced Customs House Broker and is the actual President of the Customs House Brokers Association (CHBA)-(www.customshousebrokers.com) He is also the Secretary General of the Freeport Operators Association and is actively involved in the promotion of the Freeport Sector at the BOI level. Mr Delbar has been actively involved in regional and International Trade and participated fully in the implementation of the Trade Protocol in the areas of Rules of origin and trade facilitation. With his twenty-two years’ experience, Mr Delbar is fully conversant in International trade practices and his advice is sought from different Quarters. He regularly gives conferences to a wide audience from various sectors in view of promoting generation of Entrepreneurs. He launched Freight Academy as a Professional and Vocational Training school to ensure the trade sector and the aviation with sustainable human capital. He is the managing Director of the Freight Academy and the also the programme Officer. Mr Robin Beeharry is at the Head of Cargo Operations at the Airport. He acquired his experience in airport & cargo operations in Mauritius as well as overseas.

	After 6 years in the Police Force, he joined the Freight Services in 2004. He is well versed in IT and Security. He has fully mastered process related to Customs Clearance, Sea and Air Freight as well as Warehousing

	Captain M.P. Alan STEPHEN
	F.O.C. Safe Transport and Handling of Dangerous Goods.
	aptain Alan Stephen joined the Mauritius Ports Authority (MPA) in 1999 as pilot; he was then promoted to Port Inspector as from 2002. Prior to taking employment at the MPA, he has served at sea as a navigating officer for over 18 years and was Assistant to port agent, Lloyd’s agent and P&I correspondent for over a year. He is a qualified trainer for the “Safe Transport and Handling of Dangerous Goods”. He is holder of: A Certificate of Competency Deck Officer Class 1, Master Mariner, from the Maritime and Coast Guard Agency of the United Kingdom. A certificate “Opérateur de Terminale Portuaire” from IPER) Institut Portuaire d’enseignement et de Recherche) of France. A certificate of completion of full IMDG Code e-learning provided by Exis Technologies of the United Kingdom.

	Pierre Eric Luciano PHANJOO
	F.O.C : Freight Forwarding
	A young professional, with a wide range of international experience in the logistics and transport industries. Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team. Proven leadership skills involving managing, developing and motivating teams to achieve their objectives. Analytical mind and problem solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Dedicated to maintaining high quality standards. Twelve years working experience in the logistics arena with world renowned multi-national and local companies. Highly motivated, enthusiastic and adaptable. Now a Project Manager, overlooking project task execution. Considerable experience in the logistics operations, office management, administrative duties, decision making, attending trade fairs, sales calls, preparation of accurate and timely monthly sales and management reports, annual budget preparation and monitoring, follow up of debtors, preparation of training programmes. 	Mr. Soodarsan Moheeput
	F.O.C Banking
	Mr. S. Moheeput has a long experience in the banking sector. As a manager he is entrusted to ensure the smooth operation of the computer system in the bank and its branches; to train the staff for the proper application of programs and to ensure that security norms are respected.

	Pavindranath BUHGOBAUN
	F.O.C Dangerous Goods Regulations
	Mr.Bhugobaun is a Shift Supervisor Cargo at Air Mauritius Ltd. He is also a DGR Instructor. He has a rich working experience in the sector (27 yrs) from passenger handling, handling of cargo at the import and the export sections related to load checks, Documentation, Palletisation, Dangerous Goods and live animal checks to the post he is occupying now. He regularly conducts DGR Training to all categories of personnel at Air Mauritius. 	Mrs. Kadayer-Nojib Asmaa
	F.O.C Law & Management
	A young Lady graduated in laws (LLB) at the University of Mauritius is also qualified in the field of Logistics & Management, Customs Clearance, Shipping& Freight Forwarding and Business English. As a corporate administrator, she was involved in managing and administering Global Business Companies to meet the standards set by Financial Services Commission. She ensured compliance with Mauritian legislations in the offshore sector. She has also worked as paralegal in chambers to assist barristers in their daily work. She starts her career at the very beginning of Freight Academy as Administrative Secretary prior to attending University. She was involved in the setting up of the academy operational infrastructures& licensing of the Academy.

Mr Rajendra Maistry

F.O.C Logistics Management

Mr.Maistry is an IT Specialist in the field of Customs and Excise and in project management. He was a Section Head, Sea Port Operations at Mauritius Revenue Authority. (MRA) – Customs.
He was acting Director of Customs on two occasions, in 2007 and 2008.

Graduated from London Guildhall University, he has worked for world organizations in many SADC/COMESA/IOC Countries. To name but a few:

	Mr. Oaris is an airport Fire officer at the Airport of Mauritius Ltd (AML). During his career he has been the President of the Mauritius Fire professional Association, a founder member and later an Associate member of the Fire Engineers- Canada He is also a qualified person in First- Aid. As such he acts as a coordinator for First –Aid training and Examination for all AML Staff and other companies at the Airport. He has been District Commissioner – St John Ambulance. In 1999, he was decorated by the Government of Mauritius honour of the relentless service in voluntary social work. Mr. Oaris holds the following certificates: 1. 	Mr. Juwaheer is head of Human Resource Development and Training and also head of Retail Chain and Merchandising at the Mauritius Telecoms. 	Mr. Nojib, after secondary schooling at Royal College, Port Louis, joined Harrel Malac training Institute for further studies in ICT. Today he holds an Advanced Diploma in Computer Studies. He has worked at Silverline Services for 3 Years as IT Support staff.

	Mrs. Marie Veronique Joelle FRANÇOIS

	Mrs. François has been working in the Travel and Tourism sector for the past 16 years. She has gained rich experience in reservation, sales and ticketing at Air Mauritius and Rogers Travel. She was also Travel Consultant at Harel Mallac Travel, and supervisor leisure department and package coordinator at Condor Airline.
