Brambhanand Jeerakun - RECTOR
Mr.Brambhanand Jeerakun, Rector of Freight Academy, comes from the Education Sector.
He joined the Government Services as Primary School Teacher in 1969 and ended as Principal School Inspector in 2006.
Besides implementation of policy decisions, he also had the responsibility to ensure pedagogical, infrastructural and managerial improvements. He is the beholder of Advanced Certificate in Education and Diploma in Educational Supervision and Inspection from MIE and Diploma in Social work from the University of Mauritius.
He joined Freight Academy to impart the rich experience he has had in the Education Sector and help raise the Status of the workforce in the Trade Business, Civil Aviation and Travel Industry. |

Mr Anwall Maudarbox

Mr. Maudarbox is the Marketing Manager at the Silver line services Ltd- a renowned logistics enterprise . He joined he Logistics Sector in 1991. He has had a long experience career in the sector having worked at Rogers groups (PATS) as Sea Freight and Airfreight warehouse officer respectively at Trans World Cargo Ltd, as Sea Freight Officer, at Naku Freight (Mtius) Ltd, as Supervisor Sales Dept and at Maersk as Sea Freight Executive.
In 2010, Mr. Maudarbox, was entrusted the responsibility to run courses in Shipping and Freight Forwarding on behalf of Freight Academy at the following places: Nairobi and Mombassa – Kenya, Dar –Es- Salaam – Tanzania and Kempala – Uganda.

Mr Afzal Delbar is the Managing Director of Silver Line Services Ltd
(www.silverlineservices.com) which is an International Freight Forwarding Company. It has offices in 23 Countries that offer one stop-shop services in the Logistics Supply Chain.
He is a licenced Customs House Broker and is the actual President of the Customs House Brokers Association (CHBA)-(www.customshousebrokers.com)
He is also the Secretary General of the Freeport Operators Association and is actively involved in the promotion of the Freeport Sector at the BOI level.
Mr Delbar has been actively involved in regional and International Trade and participated fully in the implementation of the Trade Protocol in the areas of Rules of origin and trade facilitation.
With his twenty-two years’ experience, Mr Delbar is fully conversant in International trade practices and his advice is sought from different Quarters.
He regularly gives conferences to a wide audience from various sectors in view of promoting generation of Entrepreneurs.
He launched Freight Academy as a Professional and Vocational Training school to ensure the trade sector and the aviation with sustainable human capital.
He is the managing Director of the Freight Academy and the also the programme Officer.

aptain Alan Stephen joined the Mauritius Ports Authority (MPA) in 1999 as pilot; he was then promoted to Port Inspector as from 2002.
Prior to taking employment at the MPA, he has served at sea as a navigating officer for over 18 years and was Assistant to port agent, Lloyd’s agent and P&I correspondent for over a year.
He is a qualified trainer for the “Safe Transport and Handling of Dangerous Goods”.

Mr. Oaris is an airport Fire officer at the Airport of Mauritius Ltd (AML).
During his career he has been the President of the Mauritius Fire professional Association, a founder member and later an Associate member of the Fire Engineers- Canada
He is also a qualified person in First- Aid. As such he acts as a coordinator for First –Aid training and Examination for all AML Staff and other companies at the Airport. He has been District Commissioner – St John Ambulance.
In 1999, he was decorated by the Government of Mauritius honour of the relentless service in voluntary social work.
