Introduction

All country's economy is becoming increasingly global in nature. Internationally, companies are marketing and distributing more products in foreign nations, locating plants and other facilities, and are in turn buying from foreign companies. There is a host of factors associated with this increased globalization that touch upon almost every aspect of supply chain management.

Providers of logistics services, such as transporters, forwarders and shipping agents, work in a rapidly changing environment. They are only competitive if they have full competence in logistics management and multi-modal transport systems. It is also important to be acquainted to the terminology in this sector.

This programme is designed to equip people to work in the operations of freight and shipping business by providing specific knowledge and skills.

In collaboration with Industrial and Vocational Training Board, Freight Academy is offering this course which is examinable by Mauritius Examination Syndicate.

    Minimum Entry Requirement

    Either Students with SC or GCE "O" Level or Form V with 3 months working experience in the field or Form IV with one year working experience in the field or at least 5 years working experience in the field.

    Course fees: Rs 25,000 (Include Exam Fee + Course Materials)

    Duration:20 sessions of 3 hours
