Signature of Memorandum of Understanding Between Freight Academy and Industrial and Vocational Training Board (IVTB) The Industrial and Vocational Training Board (IVTB) is a parastatal body set up under the IVT Act No.8 of 1988. It became operational in 1989 and is presently operating under the aegis of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Human Resources. it is governed by a council, based on the principle of equal representation between the public and private sector. Freight Academy is a MQA registered private Vocational & Professional Training institution operating in the field of freight businesses, covering international and regional Trade. Its mission is to be an outstanding organisation that offers best value in clearing and forwarding services to the widest range of customers by delighting them with quality services. Training in this field is essential to fill in the gap for qualified people. In this context, Freight Academy is coming forward with different courses namely Certificate in Customs Clearance and Certificate in Shipping and Freight Forwarding to be offered in its fully equipped training institution. The training aims at achieving commercial benefits and operational efficiency whilst reducing risks. The above courses will be delivered by MQA registered trainers in the field of Customs Clearance Practices, Operations Management, Banking and Marine Cargo Insurance. The collaboration of IVTB is sought through the signing of an MOU to provide assistance as follows:
